Community Shop and Meeting Room At Ilsington Village Hall
We now have all the funds in place for this project, and are planning to start the building works at the end of January. The construction phase of the project will last approximately five months, with anticipated completion by mid-June. During the building works, access to the village hall and the car park will be restricted. The new extension will be located on the play park end of the hall, close to the road. We are discussing arrangement with the Pre-school, and hope to maintain existing Post Office hours.
Our main problem during the build period will be parking. As always, existing users have priority use of the car park, and given that one entrance will not be in use, space near the gates adjacent to Drewsmead (the pub end of the hall car park) and at the back of the hall will be more restricted than normal. We would like to thank you for your patience during the next five months. We are all looking forward to the completion of the extension, and hope that you will become regular customers at our community shop!
